Job Summary
The Program Director Ultrasound Education is responsible for educational services in the ultrasound educational program to achieve equity of student educational experience according to the established standards of the program. The Ultrasound Education Director is also responsible to assist in the development of the Ultrasound classroom curriculum, recruitment and selection of student and clinical instructions of the students. The Ultrasound Education Director shall be responsible for the structure as well as the daily operations of the Sonography Program including organization, administration, periodic review and evaluation, continued development, general effectiveness of the program curricula and ensuring the relationships of all clinical affiliates are maintained.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in related field required
Master degree in related field preferred

Licenses & Certifications:
Registered Sonographer with ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers); Abdomen, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Vascular or Breast
Registered Ultrasound Tech with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)

Work Experience: Three (3) years of clinical experience in the professional discipline

Management Experience: Two (2) years of experience  in a CAAHEP-accredited program 

Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact), Writing /Correspondence, Writing / Reports

Proficiencies: MS Word

Job Attributes

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Analytical, Medical Terms, Research, Other; Advanced training in either general or vascular ultrasound

Other Requirements: Member of ARRT and or  ARDMS
