Community Health Choice, Inc. (Community) is a non-profit managed care organization (MCO), licensed by the Texas Department of Insurance. Through its network of more than 10,000 providers and 94 hospitals, Community serves over 400,000 Members with the following programs:

• Medicaid State of Texas Access Reform (STAR) program for low-income children and pregnant women

• Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) for the children of low-income parents, which includes CHIP Perinatal benefits for unborn children of pregnant women who do not qualify for Medicaid STAR

• Health Insurance Marketplace Plans that offer individual health coverage that includes preventive care, emergency services, prescription drugs, and hospitalization available to all, regardless of pre-existing conditions.

• Community Health Choice (HMO D-SNP), a Medicare Advantage Dual Special Needs plan for people with both Medicare and Medicaid that combines Medicare Part A and Part B benefits, Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage, and Medicaid benefits with additional health benefits like dental, vision, transportation, and more.

Skills / Requirements

JOB SUMMARY
Design, lead, and execute the One Message (internal communication) strategy designed to inform, motivate, and inspire Community Health Choice employees.  Lead and support various initiatives and events to build and grow the organization's culture through improved employee engagement. Serve as a change agent by building relationships and partnering with HR leadership, the executive leadership team, and multiple internal stakeholders across the organization to ensure effective and consistent organization-wide communications. This position reports to the Vice President, Human Resources.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES
Plan, write, edit, and create memorable, compelling content across a variety of mediums - including graphics, print materials and video, to drive awareness of key initiatives and inspire employees to act. Key initiatives may include creating communications for the Executive Leadership Team, programs, and other department needs. 

Develop, execute, and continuously improve the One Message communication strategy that supports Community's mission and vision, promotes our company values, engages colleagues at all levels across the organization, builds a positive and transparent culture, and drives diversity, equity & inclusion forward.

Facilitate communication and materials for ongoing internal events, including Town Halls, stakeholder meetings, and employee engagement initiatives.

Actively contribute to achievement of departmental goals, as identified in Department's annual business plan, including specific departmental process improvement plans and other duties as assigned and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Specialized Training/Licensure:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, Advertising, English, Business Administration, or another related field.


Work Experience (Years and Area):

  • 3-5 years of proven history of progressive experience working in internal/external communications roles with successful outcomes.
  • 2 years of program management experience.


Software Proficiencies:

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Digital marketing software (e.g., Constant Contact, Mailchimp, etc.)
  • Design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) preferred.
