Job Profile

JOB SUMMARY:   

The Quality Assurance Coordinator (QAC) reports to the Director Director of the Health Care for the Homeless Program and is responsible for performing statistical analysis utilizing data and data systems for quality, patient safety, and patient satisfaction. The QAC prepares and disseminates accurate and timely reports related to program performance and keeps abreast of current reporting agencies' standards and latest quality techniques in health care. This coordinator investigates issues of concern from a quality or safety standpoint as presented by staff, patients and families; and takes appropriate action. The QAC supports infection control and patient safety initiatives and contributes to the performance improvement/quality assurance process.

The QAC upholds high standards of integrity and ethical behavior; demonstrates professionalism; and promotes a customer-friendly environment for both internal and external clients by utilizing ServiceFirst behaviors while interacting with patients, visitors, and staff members.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:   

1.Education/Licensure/Specialized Training:

a.Education:Bachelors of Science in Health Science or related field. Holds at least one of the following: Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral Degree

b.Licensure/Certification: 
Related specialty certification within two years of employment; CPHQ certification preferred, BLS - Basic Life Support from a hospital- based American Heart Association (AHA) approved program.

2.  Work Experience: Three (3) years  related clinical area of practice. Recent experience in coordinating projects/programs preferred.
Experience with Uniform Data System preferred. Experience in Data Analysis.

3.Equipment Operated:  Office equipment
