JOB SUMMARY:
Performs concurrent and retrospective chart reviews on designated population to evaluate care in accordance with accepted standards of medical practice, hospital policies and procedures and regulatory guidelines. Utilize required criteria to evaluate the delivery of care and/or services. Refer all variances to appropriate department heads and/or medical staff for interventions. Prepare, analyze and compile statistics for required reports. Function as facilitator for designated committees.

MIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Current, valid Texas LVN License

Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support from a hospital-based American Heart Association (AHA) approved program.

Work Experience (Years and Area): Five years clinical experience in an acute care/ambulatory care environment providing/managing patients with varying diagnosis and other treatment protocols.

Management Experience (Years and Area): None Required.

Equipment Operated: Personal computer, Windows based programs (i.e., MS Word, Excel).

Familiar with quality improvement functions and external regulatory agency requirements. Knowledge of infection control procedures desired. Travel between Harris Health System facilities
