Regulatory Compliance Quality Control Specialist

The Facility Quality Control Test Tech is an integral part of a Facility Engineering's regulatory compliance and system validation team. Participate in the department performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities. Oversee, assist, and provide technical training work as assigned, including project estimates, contractor coordination., will oversee and direct the testing of Utility and Life Safety regulatory compliance on facility activities (e.g elevators, Generators, air handlers, medical gas systems, air compressors, vacuum Systems, Sprinklers, Fire Alarms system etc.) to ensure required testing and documentation are provided in accord with Harris Health accreditation standards. Have extensive experience with scheduling testing and corrective actions to resolve identified deficiencies. Acts as internal liaison to support regulatory audits. Obtains, maintains, and reviews new equipment licenses, licensing renewals, and reporting requirements for regulatory changes and updates. Facility Quality Control Test Tech helps define and carry out appropriate tests to confirm system compliance and validation. Documenting test results, analyzing data, and recommending product improvements are also important parts of the job. The Facility Quality Control Test Tech reports to the Director of Facility Engineering.
Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Requires high school diploma or GED plus vocational or technical training after high school, or equivalent experience, resulting in Journeyman level expertise
Work Experience (Years and Area):Requires three (3) years of related experience working in healthcare, Life safety, and Utility systems. Mechanical certification
Equipment Operated:Driver's license must be maintained as a condition of continued employment. Required to operate one or more District vehicles. Must maintain a driving record which meets the standards of the District insurance policy.

Other Requirements:Must demonstrate strong policy and procedure document writing expertise. Excellent organizational and project management skills and the ability to execute on multiple projects. Prior experience in working in a regulatory compliance department is preferred.
