Skills / Requirements

Job Summary
A newly graduated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or with less than two year of work experience. Entry level knowledge base has been validated by successful completion of the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) requirements for professional RCP license by the Texas Medical Board.
Minimum Qualifications

Degrees:
Associates Degree; Graduate of a Respiratory Care program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) or other accrediting body approved by the advisory board.

Bachelor's Degree Preferred; Graduate of a Respiratory Care program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) or other accrediting body approved by the advisory board.

Licenses & Certifications:
-Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) hired prior to 2000. After 2000 must be Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from National Board Respiratory Care.
-Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program from American Association of Pediatrics (AAP) ' mandatory for working in neonatal (NRP may be obtained within 90 days of employment)
-Respiratory Care Practitioner from the Texas Medical Board

Work Experience:
0 - 2 Years Work Experience - Entry level new graduate at minimum in Respiratory Care (or) 0 - 2 years of experience in clinical area in respiratory care department as a practicing therapist

Language Skills: Bilingual preferred

Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact); Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking); Writing /Composing; (Reports)
