Skills / Requirements


Responsible for all aspects of revenue cycle compliance auditing, and improvement implementation which include documenting processes, technical analysis and training program design, testing and final implementation. Develop, plan and customize training strategies to ensure a smooth and effective launch of Revenue Cycle Policy/Procedure Process Improvement training. Also, this position will develop, implement and coordinate staff training. This will include developing materials, scheduling of classes, and coordinating training with new or existing employees and other areas as needed. In addition, this person will work closely with employees and supervisors to monitor the work quality in order to ensure policy compliance and identify training needs.

This person must be able to have strong verbal and written communication skills to inform the Patient Financial Services Department of government policies and regulations that pertain to hospital billing practices. Successful candidate will understand quality assurance and process improvement, and support Patient Financial Services and Harris Health System goals, policies and procedures. This position will act as trainer and mentor of billing processes and policies, regulatory and performance improvement plans to the staff. Perform assessment of all aspects of patient billing operations, educate and train staff, promote regulatory compliance, serve as a resource for revenue cycle compliance, process improvement and quality assurance.


1) Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare or related field or equivalent
work experience in Hospital Patient accounts.
2) Work Experience (Years and Area): Five (5) years' experience in hospital billing, Federal and State
compliance, patient accounting, auditing, and training experience.
3) Management Experience (Years and Area): None
4) Equipment Operated: Personal Computer and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel,
