JOB SUMMARY:
Plans, directs, coordinates, and monitors all Quality initiatives, policies and procedures within Phlebotomy and Specimen Processing section of the Laboratory including but not limited to Quality Systems program, audits, monitoring of Laboratory Information System, monitoring status of staff licenses, training, competencies, and certification of equipment's. Confers with Administration, Medical Manager, and Medical Staff to ascertain Harris Health System needs related to Laboratory Services while ensuring activities are in accordance with CAP and JCAHO standards and Harris Health System Administrative policies
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: High School Diploma or GED. Phlebotomy Certification.
Work Experience: Three years laboratory supervisory or strong lead experience
Management Experience: Seven years Phlebotomy experience
Equipment Operated: PC's equipment, printer, terminals, analyzers

Writing /Composing (Correspondence/Reports)
Other Skills:
Analytical, CRT, Medical Terms, Research, Statistical, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access
Advance Training Specialty: Graduate of Certified Lab Phlebotomy Program; Microsoft Office; PeopleSoft (a plus)
Work Schedule: Flexible
Other Requirements: Phlebotomy Certification. Travel between Harris Health System facilities.
