Job Summary
The Radiology Educator is a valued member of the program faculty and responsible for classroom education and clinical management of radiography students at Harris Health System. The Radiology Educator is proficient in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising.

Minimum Qualifications

Degrees: 
Bachelor's Degree Required; and advanced certification training in CT Scan and/or MRI
Master's degree: must be obtained in 2 years if not held at time of appointment 

Licenses & Certifications: 

  • Cert Medical Radiologic Tech by Texas Medical Board 
  • Radiographer; American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); certified in advanced modality (CT, MRI, Mammography)

Work Experience: Five (5) years of full time clinical experience in radiography.

Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contract) , Writing /Correspondence, Writing /Reports

Other Requirements: Member of American Society of Radiologic technologist (ASRT) and/or Texas State Radiologic Technology (TSRT); staff development and training. American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) registration in one advanced certification preferred.
