JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting organization-wide activities related to analyzing operational and financial data required for decision making of the senior leadership team. Assists Harris Health System leadership in the development of the annual operating budget for approval by the Board of Trustees and County Commissioner's Courts as well as the long range strategic plan. Prepares routine and adhoc reports and provides in-depth analysis of primary drivers of volume, revenue and expenses. Provides benchmarking and database management support as well as managing the Position Control for the organization. Develops learning programs, methods, and tools to facilitate understanding of financial, statistical, and productivity information. Acts as a team lead for other Financial Analysts. This position works independently but will receive guidance, strategic direction, training and coaching from management and other Finance team members. The ideal candidate will have the necessary analytical, verbal, and written skills to communicate findings to management and departmental leaders and escalate issues as needed and appropriate.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Specialized Training/Licensure:
Bachelors degree in accounting or finance, economics, business administration (major in finance), or
related discipline.
Work Experience (Years and Area):
Five (5) years experience in financial analysis and/or decision support required, preferably in a healthcare
environment
