Skills / Requirements

JOB SUMMARY: 

The Structured Cable Specialist I under the direction of the Structured Cable Manager, plans and executes high quality installation to the voice, data, overhead paging, audio, and video communications lines consisting of copper and/or fiber, and installs equipment for computer and/or audio-video purposes. Interacts with clients, and troubleshoot sand/or repairs user problems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: 

High School diploma or GED equivalent; must have a valid drivers license.
SYSTIMAX® Installation & Maintenance or BICSI Installer Level 2 or higher certification required.


Work Experience: 

Five (5) years work experience. 
     

Equipment Operated: MAY BE REQUIRED TO USE PERSONAL VEHICLE.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:    

Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contract) 
     

Work Schedule: Travel
