Skills / Requirements
The Vascular Technologist I (VT I) performs carotid, peripheral arterial and venous duplex, AAA/EVAR, LE arterial bypass, vein mapping, ABIs and segmental pressure examination. The VT I completes other vascular services or office functions as requested and works in conjunction with the senior technologist to learn and perform with limited supervision advanced procedures such as pseudo aneurysm injections, intraoperative scanning, and arteriovenous fistula exams. The VT I retrieves, communicates and presents information in a written, oral or visual fashion.
Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Graduation from a CAHEP accredited Diagnostic Vascular
Ultrasound Sonographer program. Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) /Registered Vascular
Specialist (RVS) through ARDMS or CCI Basic Life Support.
Work Experience (Years and Area): Current work experience in Vascular Lab preferred.
Equipment Operated: Ultrasound machine and various Vascular Lab equipment.
Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact); Writing/Composing Reports
Other Skills: Analytical; Medical Terms; P.C.
Advance Training/Specialty: Current Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) /
Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) through ARDMS or CCI.
