Job Summary

Participates in the day-to-day operations of the laboratory with regard to histology specimen processing. Processes and prepares patient tissue according to department procedures using technical knowledge. Supports continuous improvement of laboratory services to ensure high-quality and timely pathology for quality diagnosis.

Minimum Qualifications

Degrees/Work Experience/School Education:
a) Associates: Graduate of NAACLS accredited Histology program by ASCP

Licenses & Certifications:
a) HT certification: ASCP certified

Work Experience:
a) 3 Years of Experience

Communication Skills:
a) Above average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact)
b) Writing/ Correspondence
c) Writing/Reports

Proficiencies:
a) MS Word
b) MS Excel
c) MS Outlook

Other Special Requirements

Other Requirements: ASCP certification as a Histotechnician required

Equipment Operated: Microtome, embedding center, processor, special stainer, immunohistochemistry (IHC) platform, cryostat, and Hematoxylin & Eosin stainer
