Skills / Requirements

Provides services for the prevention, diagnosis, habilitation, and rehabilitation of communication, swallowing, or other upper aero digestive disorders; elective modification of communication behaviors; and enhancement of communication. Performs related duties such as participation in rounds, clinics, departmental performance improvement, and clinical education in accordance with state practice act, applicable regulations, and departmental policy and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Graduate Degree, the Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) of American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Current Texas License.
BLS certification through American Heart Association (AHA)

Work Experience (Years and Area): One (1) year performing comprehensive speech-language evaluation and treatment for adults, pediatrics and neonates.

Equipment Operated: Speech and Swallowing equipment and computer software.

Special Requirements
Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contract), Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking), Writing /Composing , (Correspondence /Reports)

Other Skills: Analytical, Mathematics, Medical Terms, P.C.
