Skills / Requirements
Job Summary
Identifies, abstracts, and maintains records of all cancer patients by utilizing various data sources and the cancer registry database application.
Minimum Qualifications
Degrees: Associates Degree or HS/GED with completion of the Cancer Data Management program via an approved program by the National Cancer Registrar Association (NCRA).
Licenses & Certifications: Must be eligible for NCRA certification (CTR). Will be required to obtain CTR certification by NCRA within 2 years of employment.
Work Experience: One (1) year experience as a Tumor Registrar preferred
Communication Skills: Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking), Writing /Correspondence, Writing /Reports
Proficiencies: Personal Computer

Other Requirements: Basic analytical skills necessary in order to determine completeness and interpret medical information on diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail for up to 80% of work time when abstracting.
Equipment Operated: Basic Desktop Computer knowledge. Standard office equipment.
