Job Summary

This pharmacist will provide management oversight for the Harris Health System State facilitated free vaccine programs. He/She will ensure program compliance by establishing proper workflows, proper program controls and processes to audit both. The position will stay abreast of program requirements and ensure the organization meets all State mandated requirements and contractual obligations. The Vaccine Management pharmacist will establish oversight by serving as the Program Coordinator for each facility. He/She will be responsible for ensuring data is successfully transmitted to the State and that any noted reporting deficiencies are promptly corrected and reported to the State.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors or PharmD; + Registered with Texas State Board of Pharmacy; If licensure by reciprocity must obtain Texas license within the first 90 days of employment. Completion of PGY1 Residency is required, PGY2 residency preferred (relevant specialty).

Licenses & Certifications:
a) Registered Pharmacist in TX
b) Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certification Preferred

Work Experience:
a) Five (5) Years Work Experience of clinical practice experience, PGY 1 = 2 years, PGY2 = 3; Experience should include some vaccine program experience

Management Experience:
a) One (1) Year of Management Experience with Pharmacy program coordination or management
