VP - Operations, Ben Taub
The Vice President of Operations sets financial, long-range, operational and leadership direction for designated clinical and support department(s) in conjunction with the Executive Vice President. Develops and executes departmental strategies and guides departmental and organizational transformations required to achieve financial, service, leadership, regulatory and community objectives. Selects, directs and develops staff. Represents hospital, service organization or department(s) to external authorities and constituencies.
Assumes responsibility for all matters affecting the day-to-day operations of the hospital. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates all aspects of hospital operations and coordinates the activities of multiple departments in the facility to ensure financial viability, quality of service, efficiency, operational effectiveness and an engaged workforce. Works with executive leadership in all matters related to clinical operations. Leads efforts related to planning and development to ensure effective operational infrastructure and efficiencies. Partners with leaders of the Board, executive team, management team and medical staff in planning, promoting and conducting hospital-wide quality assessment and performance improvement activities. The core service lines that report up to this role include but not limited to: Facilities Engineering, Security and Lab.
1. Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Master's in Health Administration, Business Administration or related field
2. Work Experience (Years and Area): Ten (10) Years Work Experience in a hospital and/or healthcare setting
3. Management Experience (Years and Area): Five (5) Years of Management Experience in senior management role required.
4. Equipment Operated: PC, standard office equipment
