Job Summary: The Vice President, Epic Integrated Systems has accountability to the CIO. The Vice President, Epic Integrated Systems will have overall responsibility for all Epic systems and will ensure IT services align and support the business and operations objectives of the organization to maximize the value of the Epic systems.
This position will be a member of the Information Technology senior leadership team. The individual holding this position must be a self-motivated and visible leader who can develop trust and confidence with a variety of stakeholders. He/she will be expected to be the subject matter expert for Epic systems and drive for results, positively impacting the overall strategic goals and operations of the organization.
The overall responsibility of the Vice President, Epic Integrated Systems is to provide leadership and direction in the design, implementation and support of all Epic Integrated Systems in use throughout the enterprise. This includes ensuring the systems are supported for all users, managing a regimented maintenance schedule for the systems, and ensuring all systems are in compliance with Harris Health System policies, procedures and standards.
Responsibilities include full Epic enterprise systems life cycle management including planning, development and support. This includes but is not limited to Epic's Enterprise platform and other applications in the following application categories; Electronic Medical Record, Revenue Cycle, Patient Access and Ancillary Clinical Systems such as Lab, Imaging and Pharmacy.
Minimum Qualifications
Degrees:
Masters Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Business Administration
Work Experience: 12 Years of Experience Information Technology with 10 years in a Healthcare provider organization and 8 years of EMR Systems
Management Experience: 8 Years of Experience IT Leadership role responsible for all or part of the EMR Enterprise System in an integrated healthcare delivery system with 3 Years of Experience Utilizing ITIL service delivery framework
Communication Skills: Above average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact), Exceptional Verbal (Public Speaking,) Writing/ Correspondence Writing/ Reports
Proficiencies: MS Word MS PowerPoint MS Excel MS Outlook PC

Work Schedule: TX residency required. This role is hybrid and requires frequent onsite presence.
