JOB SUMMARY:

The Vice President Operational Services & Disaster Preparedness is responsible for the leadership, performance, and strategic alignment of various critical non-clinical support functions across Harris Health. This role oversees Food & Nutrition Services, Security, Environmental Services, Disaster Preparedness/Emergency Management and potentially other operational areas as assigned and assists with system-wide business planning and budgeting. The VP partners closely with system and pavilion leadership to ensure service excellence, operational readiness, and enterprise resilience. With a focus on strategic execution, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement, this leader drives initiatives that enhance patient and employee experiences while supporting the long-term sustainability of the organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Masters degree

Work Experience:  Fifteen (15) Years of progressive experience in healthcare operations  

Management Experience:  Ten (10) Years of progressive Management or Equivalent Experience

Communication Skills:  Above average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact), Exceptional Verbal (Public Speaking), Writing/Correspondence, Writing/ Reports

Proficiencies:  MS Excel, MS Word, Personal Computer

Other Requirements:  

Healthcare operations experience with demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas: Food & Nutrition Services, Environmental Services, Security, Emergency Management, business planning and budgeting or like operational areas.  Must include experience in multi-disciplinary operational environments with increasing levels of responsibility and cross-functional collaboration. Experience supporting or working within complex healthcare systems is required. 

Progressive management experience, including direct supervision of senior level leaders responsible for non-clinical operational functions such as Food & Nutrition Services, Environmental Services, Security, Logistics, Emergency Management or like operations.  Must demonstrate a track record of building and leading high-performing teams, driving accountability, and implementing operational best practices across diverse support service areas.   

Experience managing multi-site operations within a large, integrated healthcare system preferred.  Proven ability to influence organizational strategy through operational insights and data-driven decision-making preferred.
